This is an article for “Wespeaks,” a student submission section of The Wesleyan Argus, that I wrote awhile back. I visited Dominican Republic by great chance. A new friend I had just made from my Spanish class, Amanda asked me if I wanted to go to DR during Spring break. Back then we weren’t close friends and I was very surprised that she asked me. My experiences there are in the article. Me and Amanda are close friends ever since.

My grandmother made me eat whatever she made. There was never a kids menu. That is how I developed a curious stomach and curious taste buds.
I love good food. I love to cook for my friends, but I equally enjoy dinner alone with some nice wine and music.
